Thailand case 2

Thailand assistance in presenting to the Thai Board of Investment (BOI) a request for subsidies and incentives as planned by the Thai government for foreign investment in industry and researching the industrial zone in which to place a new factory.

The client is an Italian company which produces alloys of precious metals and had decided to build a factory in Thailand. MDA consulting followed the settling in of the company, starting from an analysis of the marketing and production opportunities the South-east Asian country has to offer. MDA was assigned with presenting a request for incentives to the Thai BOI – it's worth noting that this was the first factory of it's kind in Thailand, as there were none which specifically produced alloys for jewellery and precious metals. MDA was also assigned the task of finding the best location for the factory once the incentives had been obtained. Following an accurate business plan and an analysis of the client company, MDA managed to obtain the benefits and incentives from the Thai BOI. Shortly after, construction of the company's factory began in the industrial park of Gemopolis, as suggested by MDA, a few kilometres outside Bangkok.
